Love Your Neighbor Food Pantry

Flood Relief Roots

In the winter of 1997, Yuba and Sutter Counties in Northern California were struck by a devastating flood. Craftsmen for Christ responded with nine volunteers to clean up a single home. Two years later, with the help of more than 10,000 volunteers, CFC had restored over 250 homes. It was during this disaster relief effort that CFC and Operation Blessing partnered to provide food and household items to families in need.

The Call to Give Freely

Over the years, God has taught us to give without judgment—to give as if we were giving directly to Him. Freely we have received, and freely we must give. Out of that obedience, God has produced incredible abundance. Our desire is to share the love of Christ with every box and every pallet that leaves the warehouse.

Scripture reminds us that the poor will always be with us, but it also assures us that God will never leave or forsake us. Both promises are lived out daily through the heart of our food ministry.

The Food Pantry Today

The Craftsmen for Christ Love Your Neighbor Food Pantry opened in the spring of 2020 in response to the growing needs within our community. What began with serving around 50 individuals and families each month has now grown into a ministry that feeds hundreds.

Every Wednesday morning, families are welcomed to receive food with dignity and compassion. Today, the pantry serves more than 600 individuals—every month.

More Than Food

More than a place to receive groceries, the Love Your Neighbor Food Pantry has become a place of ministry and connection. Visitors not only receive food, but also prayer, encouragement, and reminders of God’s love. Week after week, we witness how God multiplies resources and uses simple acts of service to bless both those who give and those who receive.
